Stichting dodenherdenking Alphen noemt op hun facebookpagina: Vrijdag 17 mei 2024 hebben we voor de 85ste maal onze jaarlijkse dodenherdenking, de oudste van Nederland.
We herdenken dan alle gevallenen maar in het bijzonder de 6 Alphenaren en 18 Poolse militairen die het ultieme offer betaald hebben. De ceremonie start om 19.15 uur aan het W. Binckplein (toren kerk) Alphen. (foto van dodenherdenking in 1997, collectie heem).
